Research Description

My research interests are in (1) the variation in, and plasticity of, human social cognition, and (2) the biology of interconnectedness. To this end, I use structural and functional neuroimaging to explore how behavioral, cultural, neural, hormonal, and genetic factors modulate prosocial emotions and behaviors. Current projects include an investigation of the biological bases of human paternal caregiving and longitudinal investigations of meditation training.
